In a land down under...

One word....WOW...where in the world did the first half of 2010 go? Is it just me or does it feel like time is flying by? One day I look at the calendar and its just after New Years, the next thing I know its almost the Fourth of July. Ugh, if this keeps up, life may just pass me by.

Aaron has been pretty good with a few blog posts lately but I thought I would update you on whats happening in the land down under. The most important thing you all must know is that while you are putting on your shorts and heading to the beach, I am trying to see how many layers I can fit under my winter coat and how many times I can wrap my scarf around my neck! Winter is here and on the attack. Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely despise the cold and given the opportunity would live in Summer all year round. The other morning I woke up to what was being called, "the coldest morning in 3 years", that headline right there definitely inspired me to get out of bed. If you ask me there is only one good thing about Winter...I get to wear my boots. Yep, thats about it. As any sane person would we took some time away from Winter and went to Fiji in the middle of June. It was absolutely gorgeous! We stayed at an amazing hotel that even had fancy bath tubs on every balcony. Our room looked out to the ocean and i could sit in the tub while watching the waves. It was pretty awesome. :) Sadly, Aaron missed out on surfing but I think he still had a good time. Upon arrival home from Fiji my "mum" came to visit!!! Boy, did we luck out with the weather! I had prepared her to bring her winter clothes and rain coat none of which was needed. The weather was in the 60s with sunny clear sky's almost the entire time she was here. We had a blast and finally for the first time I impressed Mom with my workouts, never thought that would happen. I was very sad to see her go but am hoping once Winter passes I can convince her to come back, and if i can't I'm sure Ewok can :) Not too much other news to report for the month of June...the most important thing to highlight is Aaron's new job and how happy he is. Its so great to see him at a Company where the culture fits him to a tee. He surfs at lunch, wears jeans to work, and smiles when he walks in the door at night. I cant describe how happy it makes me :) Its been a long road but things are finally turning around and heading in the right direction!

Happy Fourth of July to everyone, we are having our own little party on Saturday so will post a blog to let you all know how it went! :)
