Time is ticking away and at a much faster pace than I would like. I thought I would start a blog to keep everyone updated on what we were up to and what life was throwing our way!
Life has been extremely busy as I get closer to D-Day. I will be departing on October 21st for SFO where I will meet my dad and then I will fly on the flight he is piloting to Sydney. As most of you know Aaron is expected to leave sometime in December! Somehow I will have to adjust to not having him by my side for a few months!
Its so insane, we never thought this opportunity would happen to us and are beyond excited but also very sad to leave our friends and family behind. This past weekend we had a garage sale to get rid of everything we weren't going to take with us. Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by and help us!! We got rid of almost everything and our apartment is now pure chaos. With no furniture to put anything on or in there are piles upon piles laying on the floor. Tonight we plan on diving in and getting a few of our trunks packed! This past weekend was also the first weekend of Goodbye's. My Mom came down for the weekend and Sunday when I dropped her off at the airport I had to say Goodbye. Luckily I have a feeling I will be seeing her in December in Sydney so it was a little easier than the others have been. Aaron's family was amazing and threw a going away dinner/Early Birthday Party for me since I will not be able to celebrate with them, or anyone for that matter. :) At the end of the night I had to say Goodbye to his Grandparents and the Bakers. It's so hard to say Goodbye when you aren't sure when you will see someone again. Who would have thought this would be so hard?
As for the remainder of this week, we will be busy with Goodbye Dinners and trying to pack. My goal is to have everything packed by Friday so we can enjoy the weekend with family and friends. I'm fighting off getting sick since I have managed to wear myself out already but am hoping I can beat it!!
We have also have a new phone number that anyone can call us on with no extra charge to them. The number is: 949.873.5505. It wont work until I am in AUS so for now you can reach us on our normal cell phone numbers. Very exciting!!
