ARRIVAL!

Well, I won't start this off with a cliche aussie comment.  I was talking to Melissa and we were laughing because we both feel like such dorks trying to incorporate aussie lingo into our vocabularies.  I'm sure as the time goes on it will feel more natural, but for now I just can't do it!  Anyways, I've arrived in Sydney and I am sooo impressed by everything Melissa has done by herself here!  She is AMAZING!  Now onto the events of the last couple of days...

I flew in Thursday morning and it took hours to get my bags and wait in 5 different lines.  I was welcomed by my beautiful wife who looks great!  I thought I was going to die countless times on the way to the house, but we made it ok.  The house is cool and is perfect for us right now.  We went to dinner Thursday night with Joe and had some delicious Indian food.

Friday I went to Melissa's office in the morning and met all her coworkers.  Everyone was super nice and it was good to put faces to names.  Melissa and I said goodbye AGAIN, since I had to go run some errands and she was leaving for her work Christmas party.  I managed the public transportation and then met up with my friend Adrian.  Adrian was my roommate in Spain and it's funny to have things come full circle and now be pseudo neighbors in Australia.  We went exploring the North Sydney beaches and all I can say is the set up is SPECTACULAR!!!  The beaches are awesome.  We ended surfing a small beach with small waves and tons of people.  If it floats it's in the water.  There are sooo many people in and around the water.  Saturday we hung out in Manly and since the waves were flat we went swimming.  The water is super refreshing and beautiful.  The water is clear and all different shades of blue.

Today Melissa and I are heading out on a tourist kick.  We should have some pics to post later.
