Before the Rush

So, I've been meaning to post something in order to stay on top of it and it's been tough cause life has been getting hectic. But here I am 1:30 am - can't sleep...and it's not a result of spider nightmares. In fact I'm actually cohabitating at the moment with a spider in my office. I discovered it the other week and thought maybe if we got to know eachother it wouldn't be worried about me squishing it and I would overcome my weird dreams. I momentarily thought about squishing it yesterday, but it's pretty high up the wall and then I thought maybe it'd fall on me. Oh well, so here we find ourselves semi amicably living together.

The real reason I wanted to post something was because Melissa told me today it's about 50 days until we head back to the US. This has got Melissa and I really excited. Yes of course we're excited to see all of you guys! But what has us really talking is the fact that we can actually buy normal priced goods. That our dollars will be able to buy us more than an ugly feeling in my stomach because I constantly feel ripped off. As an homage to our circumstance here. I thought I'd share a couple of the massive price discrepancies that affect me on so many levels!

PRODUCT AUSTRALIA USA

Razors $30 $10
Mexican Meal $35 (doesn't include chips & salsa) $15
6 pack $20 $6
Boardshorts $90 $45
T-shirts $50 $20
10 pak file folders $15 $3

Oh man, there's so much more and I can guarantee Melissa probably has a lot more as well. She also probably has a spreadsheet of everything she's going to buy at Target. Really though, we're super excited to see everyone and can't wait to see you all.

Guess where we're going this weekend. Yep, our second home - Melbourne. I was trying to withstand it, but in the end I couldn't. The waves are actually supposed to be all time and I've been able to tie in a long weekend with Australia Day being on Tuesday. I'll be going down the coast with Brendan and we're going to work on our tow ins again. Hopefully we'll get some sweet footage and/or pics that I'll hopefully post. Melissa is going down for Christina's bday and should have a fun filled beach, sun, latte, and cheeky wine weekend.

Work is getting really busy at the moment which is good. I've been pumped to work hard and finally start seeing the results. It gets me pretty excited especially as I told Melissa today cause I love winning! The next couple of weeks will be pretty full on.

See you guys soon!!
